Overview of obtained results (shown in Figure 1) summarizing the histopathological differentiation, VitD serum levels, and VDR/Ki67 expression in the cancer patients and healthy controls. VDR expression in the cancer tissue was inversely correlated with the VitD serum levels. High VDR expression occurred in poorly differentiated, highly proliferative tumor tissues.
