Following euthanasia, tibiae were dissected for further analyses. (A) Samples underwent μCT scanning and the tibia divided into 1 (proximal)–7 (tibio-fibular joint) regions along the tibial length and (B) in the AP and ML sectors. (C) A transverse μCT image of a tibia demonstrating the AP and ML directions, represents the inner diameter and the outer diameter. These values were used to calculate the biomechanical properties following 3-point testing, outer, and inner diameter, and moment of inertia.
