SkQ1 prevents mice from rapid death caused by cooling. Mice were placed at − 20 °C for 1 h and then returned to room temperature. (A,B) SkQ1 and C₁₂TPP (1.5 μmol/kg) were administered intraperitoneally for 5 days before cooling and for 3 days after cooling. (B) Dynamics of mouse body weight after cooling. The group size was 10 mice in experiments with SkQ₁ or vehicle and 7 mice in the experiments with C₁₂TPP.
