A 56-year-old female patient presented to the ER with recent-onset, well-localized, severe periumbilical pain. Axial plane postcontrast abdominal CT image showed an intraabdominal heterogeneous fat-containing mass-like structure within the greater omentum (arrows). The imaging findings were considered to represent an omental infarct. The patient responded well to the supportive medical treatment, and a follow-up CT 1 month after the initial presentation revealed complete regression (not shown)
