We obtained CMR-derived LVM index in 44,375 individuals undergoing CMR imaging. We performed a genome-wide association study of CMR-derived LVMI and assessed for associations between CMR-derived LVMI and cardiovascular outcomes. Using GWAS results, we developed a polygenic risk score for LVMI, and applied it to 443,326 separate UK Biobank participants with genetic data (left), and 29,354 individuals from the independent Mass General Brigham Biobank (right), to assess for associations between genetically determined LVMI and cardiovascular outcomes.
