Each panel presents a separate acoustic measure, with the x-axis corresponding to standardized mean differences (schizophrenia—HC) equivalent to Hedges’ g, with estimates above 0 indicating higher scores for patients with schizophrenia. The overlap between the skeptical and meta-analytic posterior distributions suggests no real advantage in using meta-analytic informed priors compared to skeptic ones. For utterance number we only built the model with skeptic prior, since no meta-analytic prior was available.
