Ethnic groups with significant differences in the minor allele frequencies of SNVs with respect to Mexican individuals. The minor allele frequencies of the 15 SNVs found in the Mexican mestizo population (MEZ) in this study were compared against those reported in 21 sub-continental populations from the 1,000 Genomes database. The color gradient from light blue to dark blue indicates increasingly lower frequencies compared to MEZ (–log p-value range = 0–6). The color gradient from yellow to red indicates increasingly higher frequencies compared to MEZ (–log p-value range = 0–6).
