HIF Signaling Pathway: Under hypoxic conditions, the decrease in oxygen inhibits HIF-1α hydroxylation and allows its translocation to the nucleus, where it binds to HIF-1β to form an active heterodimer complex as well as interacts with CBP/p300 transcription coactivators and ultimately to the activation of transcription of regulated HIF-1 genes including angiogenesis, glucose transporters, proliferation, metastasis, stemness, and drug resistance genes
