Organoid applications. Organoids have the potential for several purposes, such as basic research, drug screening, genomic and metabolomic analysis, and gene editing to explore disease-linked alleles, called genetic engineering. Moreover, organoids can model diseases, have applications in cell immunotherapy and regenerative medicine, and provide the opportunity to have biobanks.
