Palmitic acid (PA) inhibits the expression of specific MHC proteins in C2C12 myotubes. C2C12 cells were differentiated and incubated for the last 24 h of differentiation with a medium containing a vehicle control (Con) or 400 μM PA (PA). The cells were harvested on day 6, and protein levels of MHC and β-actin were determined using immunoblotting. Levels were quantified and expressed as fold-change relative to the control.
