IMD-0354 attenuates oxidative injury and exerts antioxidative effects in the retina of diabetic rats. (A-C) Levels of SOD, GSH-Px, CAT, in the retina were remarkably lower in the diabetic group compared to the non-diabetic control group. Treatment with consecutive IMD-0354 injection for 6 weeks led to significant increases in GSH-Px, SOD and CAT levels. (D) MDA levels were significantly higher in the diabetic group compared to the non-diabetic control group. Administration of IMD-0354 induced a significant drop of the MDA levels in diabetic rats. (B-D) Data are shown as the mean ± SD (***, P<0.001; ##, P<0.01; #, P<0.05). SOD, superoxide dismutase; GSH-Px, glutathione peroxidase; CAT, catalase; MDA, malonic dialdehyde; SD, standard deviation.
