Renal SP/NK-1R and serum SP were overexpressed in a mouse unilateral ureteral obstruction (UUO) model. (A) RT-qPCR exhibited increased levels of SP and NK-1R mRNA in cortical lysates of kidneys on days 7 and 14 after UUO. (B) ELISA analysis displayed elevated serum SP levels on days 7 and 14 after UUO. (C, D) Western blot analysis and immunochemistry staining showed that the protein levels of renal SP and NK-1R in cortical tissues were up-regulated on days 7 and 14 after UUO.
