Numbers in the boxes are ORs for associations of exposure and each gastrointestinal outcome. The reported ORs are scaled to a 1-unit increase in log odds of genetic liability to type 2 diabetes and a 1-unit increase of circulating levels of fasting insulin (log-transformed pmol/L), fasting glucose (mmol/L), and HbA_1c (%). The association with a P value <0.05, but Benjamini-Hochberg adjusted P values >0.05, was considered suggestive, and adjusted P values <0.05 were deemed significant.
