Evaluation of the gut microbiota ecology assessed by α-diversity of faecal sample sets at T₀ and T₁ time points, corresponding to pre- and post-probiotic supplementation, based on Chao-1, Shannon, observed species, phylogenetic distance, goods coverage and Simpson diversity metrices. No statistical significance was observed (p value > 0.05), based on both ANOVA and Kruskal-Wallis tests. Both statistical tests were confirmed by Shapiro-Wilk and Levene’s tests, respectively. The comparison are reported at T₀ (Week 0) and T₁ (Week 8), respectively.
