Oncogenic mechanisms related to Syncytin 1 expression: the examples of endometrial and hepatocellular carcinoma. (A) Upregulation of Syncytin‐1 mediated by the cAMP pathway leads to increased cellular fusion and thus increased invasiveness in endometrial carcinoma.
