Figure 3. Glycation rates of GA e A1C. GA is produced over the life span of albumin of approximately 8 weeks, however, the first 2 weeks account for half of its production. Differently, due to the life span of erythrocytes, that is around 120 days, A1C takes approximately 4 months to be completely produced, and the first month is responsible for half of its glycation.
