Contour plots of collagen fiber recruitment over the corneoscleral shell at various IOP levels. The shell was colored according to the percentage of recruited fibers, with blue indicating no recruitment and red indicating fully recruitment. Collagen fibers of the corneoscleral shell were not recruited simultaneously, suggesting a region-dependent rate of tissue stiffening with IOP. At either normal or elevated IOP, collagen fibers of the corneoscleral shell were not fully recruited. Note: the scleral canal region is shown in grey since we did not calculate a fiber recruitment for this region.
