Co-localization of dextran and polymer:liposome:DNA complexes within endocytic vesicles. After BAE cells were 50 and 70% confluent, fluoresceinylated HHK4b:DNA:liposome complexes and AlexaFluoR 594 dextran were added to cells. Two hours later, cells were incubated with 15% FCS in OptiM for 10 min and washed with PBS. These probes were observed with the LSM410 using 488 nm excitation and 515–545 nm emission filters for fluorescein (complexes appear green), and 568 nm excitation and a 590 nm long pass emission filter for AlexaFluoR 594 (dextran appears red). The polymer complexes co-localized with the dextran within the endocytic vesicles.
