Diagnostic criteria for polycystic ovary syndrome.

The European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine criteria (2003) [25].
(2 out of 3 criteria must be fulfilled)
Oligo/anovulation (oligomenorrhea or amenorrhea) Clinical and/or biochemical hyperandrogenism Polycystic ovaries (12 or more follicles, with a diameter of 2–9 mm and/or 10 mm ovarian volume)
The Androgen Excess and Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Society criteria (2009) [26].
(All criteria must be fulfilled)
Hyperandrogenism Ovarian dysfunction (oligo-anovulation and/or polycystic ovaries) Exclusion of other androgen-related disorders
