Variation of measured and predicted melting temperatures (Tms) of protein complexes and randomly grouped proteins of E. coli (A) and Homo sapiens (B). The calculated coefficient of variation based on analysis of measured and predicted Tms show a solid agreement for both organisms. As previously described in the analysis of thermal proteome profiling data, both reflect the tendency that proteins present in protein complexes show a lower variation in thermostability when compared to randomly grouped proteins.
