Variation of measured and predicted melting temperatures (T_ms) of protein complexes and randomly grouped proteins of E. coli (A) and Homo sapiens (B). The calculated coefficient of variation based on analysis of measured and predicted T_ms show a solid agreement for both organisms. As previously described in the analysis of thermal proteome profiling data, both reflect the tendency that proteins present in protein complexes show a lower variation in thermostability when compared to randomly grouped proteins.
