^aH. capsulatum yeasts (5 × 10³) were incubated with various concentrations of azurocidin and proteinase 3 for 24 h at 37°C. The yeasts then were pulsed with [³H]leucine for an additional 24 h to quantitate the growth of the remaining yeasts.
