Transcription of icaADBC in biofilm-negative class II, III, and IV mutants. Total RNA was extracted from S. epidermidis 1457 (lane 1) and mutants M12 (class II; lane 2), M15 (class III; lane 3), and M17 (class IV; lane 4) grown into the mid-exponential-growth phase in TSBOxoid.
