Starting at the time of challenge and then on a weekly basis, each mouse was injected i.p. with 1 mg of anti-mouse IL-12p40 (c17.8; rat IgG1) (◊) or with anti-β-galactosidase (GL113) as a control (□) until 10 weeks postinfection.
