The flow sheet includes the following steps: cohort formation, addition of cases from the literature, and epigenotype analysis from the blood, tumor, and normal liver. A consistent epigenotype refers to a stable epigenetic modification that is present in all cells of an individual’s body and maintained throughout development and aging. An inconsistent epigenotype, on the other hand, refers to a dynamic or unstable epigenetic modification that is present in only some cells of an individual’s body or varies over time.
