Post-translation modifications
in the NICD. The NICD followed by
its cleavage undergoes post-translational modifications like acetylation
(responsible for finely tuning the half-life of Notch), hydroxylation
(contributes to signaling diversity of NICD), methylation (increases
stability and half-life of NICD), phosphorylation (regulates activity
and turnover of NICD), and ubiquitination (activates Notch signaling,
regulates the half-life of Notch).
