Binding of YscY-FLAG to MBP-YscX. Cell pellet fractions from BL21(DE3) expressing MBP, MBP-YscX, MBP-YscY, and MBP-YopN were separated by SDS-PAGE and transferred to Immobilon membranes. MBP migrated slower than expected due to an in-frame fusion between malE and the vector LacZ α-peptide-encoding sequences.
