Baseline correction and time frequency representation.

The same time-frequency representation of power is depicted with different baselining methods computed from −1 sec to −0.5 s. Within a frequency range (orange) and two time ranges of interest (purple and red), the mean and the mean-absolute-deviation are depicted at the bottom and on the side. The choice of the baseline method enhances/reduces the visibility of particular features in the data (for instance the 1/f effect, see sections 4.2.3.3 and 4.2.3.4.1).
