Most shift domain categories are not mutually exclusive and marginal totals of shift domains will not sum to 100%.

Within each cell, columns are the numerator, rows are the denominator. Therefore, the number in the first row and first column states 11.2% of permanent day worker’s shifts are morning shifts. Refer to Appendix Table 1 for specific definitions for each working time characteristic.
