Mean (±SEM) body temperature measured by ocular infrared thermography or rectal probe in 31 beef steers administered intravenous exogenous lipopolysaccharide to induce a febrile response. Ocular temperature was measured using an infrared camera (FLIR E95; FLIR Systems, Wilson, OR) at a distance of ≤1 m and angle between 45° and 90°.
