RNA 3′ RACE and cDNA sequencing were used to determine the sites of transcription termination. The sequence corresponds to the nontemplate strand of the globin cleavage/polyadenylation signal in Polh/CFS-T; the poly(A) signal is underlined. The viral RNA polymerase terminates at the end of two T-rich sequences in the globin sequence. Three clones contained two nontemplated T residues before the poly(A) tails.
