Passive protection of newborns against rotavirus. Female mice were immunized three times nasally with 5 μg of VLP2/6 or VLP2/6/7 and 5 μg of CT. Control mice were immunized with 10 μl of PBS or 5 μg of CT. Breeding was initiated at week 4 by adding males. Four-day-old newborns were orally infected with 2.5 × 10⁶ PFU of RF virus.
