Cells were harvested at 18 h after mock infection or infection (10 PFU/cell) with HSV-1(F) or d120. For sorbitol treatment, cells were mock infected or infected with HSV-1(F) or d120 and then exposed to sorbitol for 1 h and collected at 5 h after treatment. The dexamethasone-treated cells were harvested 18 h after exposure to the drug.
