The coinfected piglets were challenged with HP-PRRSV2 at 5 days post-Gps infection. After HP-PRRSV2 infection, piglets in the Gps+ HP-PRRSV2 and HP-PRRSV2 alone groups displayed significantly higher mean temperatures than those in other groups. Significant differences between the groups are marked by different superscript letters (p < 0.05). The red dotted line in Figure 1A is the threshold of mean rectal temperature for piglets, indicating that the temperature above the red line belongs to the range of fever, while below the red line belongs to the range of normal.
