(a) Serum estradiol levels and (b) serum total testosterone levels investigated at baseline and follow-up visit for control (white bars) and case (gray bars) subjects (n=12 for each group). Control subjects did not undergo oophorectomy and were maintained on the same testosterone dose. Serum estradiol level was significantly decreased at the follow-up period postoophorectomy compared to transmasculine individuals who did not undergo oophorectomy (*P = 0.03).
