IRRs are calculated using Poisson regression models with robust standard errors. Missing values were managed using multiple imputation by chained equations. All analyses were adjusted for age, sex, American Society of Anesthesiologists classification, type of fracture, type of surgery, myocardial infarction, cerebrovascular disease, peripheral vascular disease, diabetes mellitus, chronic kidney disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, connective tissue disease, and liver disease
