Diagram of relative telomere length (TL) in patients with Dyskeratosis congenita, bone marrow failure syndromes, and the cryptic form of DC, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Different diseases have variable telomere length. Dyskeratosis congenita (DC) is characterised by the shortest telomeres. FA, DBA, and SDS, as well as aplastic anemia (AA), display a mean telomere length below the 1st percentile.
