The CVR was significantly increased for fasting glucose, glucose after the OGTT, fasting insulin, insulin resistance as measured using HOMA-IR, HbA1c, LDL-cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol, and total-cholesterol, indicating greater variability in these metabolic parameters in patients compared with controls. There was no significant difference in CVR for triglyceride levels in patients compared with controls.
