The effects of 72 h of incubation with irinotecan (5 μM and 20 μM), melatonin (2000 µM), wogonin (25 μM), celastrol (0.625 μM and 1.25 μM), or their combinations on the frequency of apoptosis and necrosis in LOVO cells. The cells were double-stained with Annexin V–Alexa Fluor®488 and PI fluorescent dyes (Alexa Fluor® 488 Annexin V/Dead Cell Apoptosis Kit) and analyzed by flow cytometry. The results are presented as the percentage of apoptotic cells (Annexin V–Alexa Fluor®488+ and PI- or Annexin V–Alexa Fluor®488+ and PI+) and necrotic cells (Annexin V–Alexa Fluor®488- and PI+). The results are displayed as the mean ± SD of five independent experiments. The significance of the differences was determined by the Mann–Whitney U test.
