Optical and growth effects of long-term reagent storage. (A) Cell growth of undesiccated wild-type yeast in 100 μL 1 × aB + SC. Cell growth in fresh 1 × aB + SC (fresh stocks) was compared to growth in reagents stored in glass bottles or FEP bags for 19 months at 23°C. The media in the glass bottles were either frozen and filtered to remove precipitated crystals before long-term storage or were unfrozen.
