Incremental value of optimal PAPi in likelihood ratio test. Likelihood ratio test for the prediction of early RVF after LVAD. Optimal PAPi shows incremental value to predict early RVF when assessed on top of conventional clinical, echocardiographic and standard hemodynamic parameters. Standard echo parameters include RV function grade and severity of TR. The diagram shows a proposed flow using the incremental value of predictors of early RVF based on the Likelihood ratio test.

CI, cardiac index; INTERMACS, Interagency Registry for Mechanically Assisted Circulatory Support; LVAD, left ventricular assist device; PAPi, pulmonary artery pulsatility index; RV, right ventricle; RVF, right ventricular failure; TR, tricuspid regurgitation.
