Patellar maltracking seen in a 39-year-old man at physical examination.
Axial (A, B) and sagittal (C, D) T2-weighted
single-shot fast spin-echo MR images were obtained with quadriceps
contraction (A, C) and without quadriceps contraction
during a routine static acquisition at rest (B, D). The
images obtained with quadriceps contraction (A, C) show
increased patellar height and increased lateral tilt, with loss of
patellotrochlear cartilage overlap (arrow in C).
