Patellar glide test. This test is used to evaluate passive patellar mobility, with the knee in full extension and in 30° flexion caused by the examiner pushing the patella medially and laterally. The examiner can palpate the projecting posterior surface of the patella and estimate the degree of patellar movement. The mobility is expressed in numbers of patellar quadrants (1–4) displaced from the starting position.
