Exemplarity lymphocyte infection using our protocol for the overlay infection with MDV-infected CEC monolayers. Lymphocytes were seeded on the infected monolayers for 16 h, and the number of viable and infected lymphocytes was subsequently quantified by FACS (n ≥ 3).
