Various Nanoparticle drug delivery systems likely Polymeric nanoparticles with chitosan coating, and gold nanoparticles with mucoadhesive properties are shown to load and deliver the drugs to the ocular surface. Plasmids with genetic material are packaged within the lipid core of a nanocapsule by the process of nano-emulsification.
