OR with 95% CI for VTE according to multimorbidity score (0 to ≥5) or multimorbidity (≥2 score) in relatives. References are individuals with relatives with no diseases (score=0) for the graded score (score between 1 and ≥5). For multimorbidity (score ≥2), references are individuals with relatives with no multimorbidity (score <2), that is, no or one disease. Zygosity of twins are not known.
The ORs were derived from double entry and the variance covariance (vce) cluster method was used. Model 1 is a crude model. Model 2 is adjusted for sex, year of birth, county and educational attainment.
