Table 1.

Clinical characteristics of the pre- and post-operative CRC cohort. Samples were taken before and after surgery from the same patient. A total of 64 patients were included in the analysis following data curation. Two measurements per patient were carried out in order to process the pre- and post-operative samples. Full metadata were collected for each patient in three categories of the disease: stage (1–4), local extent of tumor assessed pathologically (pT1–4), and histological type (Signet-ring cell carcinoma, >50% signet-ring cells; adenocarcinoma, and mucinous adenocarcinoma, >50% mucinous).
