First experimental demonstration of a distance measurement using our MGM-PMD for distances up to 1 m. Distance-dependent phase shift of the mixed signal (f_mix = 6 Hz) for f_el = 3130860 Hz and f_opt = 3130866 Hz. The results were obtained at a gate voltage V_G = 3 V_pp (V_DC = −2 V), a drain–source bias of V_DS = 10 mV, a wavelength of 405 nm, an irradiance of E_e = 328 mW/mm², and a laser power of P_laser = 10 mW.
