Model-based crude and age-adjusted county-level prevalence estimates of short sleep duration (<7 hours per 24-hour period) among adults aged 18 years or older, by quintile, United States, 2020. Urban–rural classification was defined by the National Center for Health Statistics 2013 urban–rural classification scheme (6). Age-adjusted estimates were standardized to the 2000 projected US population aged 18 years or older in 13 groups (18–24, 25–29, 30–34, 35–39, 40–44, 45–49, 50–54, 55–59, 60–64, 65–69, 70–74, 75–79, ≥80) (4).
