Enrichment of transcription factor families and gene functions for WGD- and SSD-derived genes in bifans. Enrichment analyses for functional categories in lambda, delta, and bifans were performed using all targets in the GRN as background. WGD-derived genes in bifans are enriched in dosage-sensitive processes, such as transcriptional regulation, regulation of cell cycle, translation, and photosynthesis, whereas SSD-derived genes in bifans are enriched in stress-related processes, such as response to hypoxia and oxidative stress, pathogenesis-related proteins, recognition of pathogen-associated molecular patterns, and stress-related TF families, such as ERF, NAC, and WRKY.
