The numbers of top sweep candidates replicated by Timesweeper and Fisher’s exact test (FET) on data from experimental Drosophila simulans populations. SNPs among the top 100 scoring sweep candidates for a given replicate were considered to be replicated if they were also found in the top-scoring 1% predictions by that same method in another replicate. Note that some candidate SNPs were replicated in more than one of the 9 additional experimental replicates (see Supplementary Fig. 36), and thus, a total number of replicated hits >100 is possible.
